15 Years of Building Joy in Haiti
15 Years of Building Joy in Haiti
In the aftermath of Haiti’s 2010 earthquake, the Life is Good Playmaker Project partnered up with Haitian leaders to lead psychosocial playgroups supporting children recovering from acute trauma.
That partnership gave rise to the Life is Good Playmaker Project Ayiti, locally called the Gèrye Jwa ("Joy Warriors") bringing joy, healing, and hope to communities across Haiti. On July 3, 2011, the team opened its office in Delmas and began building the foundation for a community-centered movement led by Haitians, for Haitians.
