Disclosure of Proprietary Interests

Purpose:

This policy ensures transparency and protects the integrity of our continuing education programs by requiring the disclosure of potential conflicts of interest from individuals involved in developing or delivering the programs.

Policy Statement:

The Life is Good Playmaker Project requires all staff involved with the development and delivery of Life is Good Playmaker project content and materials to disclose any proprietary interests in products, instruments, devices, or materials used or referenced in their instructional content. This is essential to maintain the integrity of our educational offerings and compliance with ANSI/IACET 12018 Standard 1.7.

Responsibilities:

Playmaker Project Staff who develop or deliver content and materials for the Playmaker Project are required to complete a Conflict-of-Interest Disclosure Form before starting work for the organization or when new conflicts of interest develop. The form will require them to disclose any relevant financial interests, personal relationships, or affiliations that could be construed as a conflict of interest.

Disclosure Requirements:

Any potential conflicts of interest identified by instructors or learning designers will be disclosed to learners prior to the start of the learning event. This disclosure can be written (in course materials) or oral (by the instructor).

Learners who have questions about this policy or who have identified a potential conflict of interest may report their findings to support@playmakerproject.org

Review and Oversight:

This policy will be reviewed annually and updated as necessary to reflect any changes in operational procedures or legal requirements.
